TEEN ADVISORY BOARD!

Teens helped a raucous storytime this past Sunday. It was fun for all!



The Teen Advisory Board met this past Sunday for food, fun, and planning!

The TAB meets once a month. The newly finished TAB mission statement is:
-Organize and discuss library events
-Promote interaction between the library and community
-Unite the youth of Old Bridge
-Promote literacy

The next TAB meeting will be January 18th at 1pm. TAB members get community service time for their work with the library.

All you have to do to be in TAB is be there!

This Friday (12/19) we're showing The Dark Knight at the library. It's FREE!

And remember, we're having our December Teen Advisory Board meeting on Sunday (12/21). Meetings count for community service!

Come make your own personal size pizza at 5:30pm today at the library!

Then hang out after for Board Games at 6:30pm!

3D Orgami Program

Today is the start of our 2 part 3D Origami program! We'll be meeting at 4pm to make the triangles for our creations. Next Tuesday we'll be putting them together to make either a snake, a frog, or a flower.

Did you miss it today? Come in and see Juley or Mary and we'll show you how to make the triangles and you can take them home to finish. Then you can come next week to put them together!

Old Bridge Teens to be on The Challenge Game Show!

A group of teens from Old Bridge High School will be appearing on The Challenge Game Show on channel 12 this weekend!

Watch them this Saturday and Sunday (the 29th and 30th of November) at 6:30pm and 9:30pm.

Yay Rock Band!

The Rock Band 2 Tournament held at the library today was a grand success!

Congratulations to our winners, the Pumpkin Pencils, and thanks to everyone for coming out!

There will be a Rock Band 2 Tournament on Thursday November 6th at 1pm. Come with a team or make one here!

Teen Events this Week at the Library

Make it Take it - Tuesday Oct 21st 3pm
Have a shirt you like but can't wear? Make it a Shirt Pillow! No sewing. Remember to bring the shirt.

Video Gaming - Thursday Oct 23rd 3pm
2 hours of open play on the Wii and XBox 360.

Anime - Friday Oct 24th 7pm
Watch Naruto and be in the COSTUME CONTEST.

Teen Events at the Library Next Week

Next week we're having three great teen events:

Talk Manga at 3pm on Monday the 13th
Come talk about Manga!

Read the Movie at 3pm on Thursday the 16th
Come watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and talk about which was better - the book or the movie?

Teen Movie Night at 6pm on Friday the 17th
Watch Ironman on our movie screen!
Rated PG-13 for some intense sequences of sci-fi action and violence, and brief suggestive content.


If you need to come a little late that's fine. Starting in November Teen Events will be held later so you have more time to get here after school.

How to Submit a Review

You can submit a review in two ways:
1. Email them to Mary at mecklund@oldbridgelibrary.org
2. Bring a written review to the Adult or Youth Services Desks in the library.

Reviews must follow this format:
Your Name: (nicknames are fine, no full names)
Title:
Author/Artist:
Your Review: (Did you like it? What were your favorite/least favorite parts? Make sure it's at least a few sentences.)
Grade: (A, B, C, D, F, with +'s or -'s if you want.)
