Yesterday teens gathered to make blankets for Blankie Depot, who sends new homemade blankets out to hospitals, ambulances, EMTs and more. This year we made 28 blankets! Thanks to everyone who attended!
This program was sponsored by the Friends of the Old Bridge Library, the OBPL Teen Advisory Board, and our friend Debbie Stanley.
See more pictures from the program on the library's facebook page! Also, the Suburban posted a picture on their website. Grab a paper copy to see the other photos they published!

The Jane Zimmerli Art Museum, located in New Brunswick on the Rutgers College Avenue campus, is looking for volunteers! Teens grades 10-12 can assist with programs, be a greeter, & more. See the Suburban's article here. For more information contact info@zimmerli. rutgers.edu or brenowit@rci.rutgers.edu.
Come in this Monday, January 18th from 3-5pm and help us make blankets for children! No sewing required. This counts toward community service. Register here.
We're working with Blankie Depot on this project. If you have any new, handmade blankets you'd like to donate, just drop them off at the Youth Services desk before the event.
We have a new round of College Prep programs going on in February and March. Visit the Teen Page to sign up - registration is required for each.
These are FREE and can be a huge help in getting to the college experience you want!
